Itinerary One

The first-timer's day on the Boardwalk

Sunrise to last bet — the classics, the icons and the food everyone tells you to try.

Atlantic City Boardwalk and Steel Pier at sunrise

Morning

  • Sunrise stroll on the Boardwalk — the original, dating to 1870, still the world's most famous.
  • Breakfast pancakes at the Trump-era classic Cafe 2825 or the Knife & Fork Inn.
  • Steel Pier rides — the Observation Wheel for 227 feet of Atlantic views.
  • Lunch at the Original Tony Boloney's — the legendary 'taco pizza' from MTV's Pizza Show.

Afternoon

  • Absecon Lighthouse — climb 228 steps to New Jersey's tallest lighthouse for boardwalk-to-bay views.
  • Hard Rock or Ocean Casino spa afternoon — Atlantic City's resort hotels rival any in Vegas.
  • Saltwater taffy from James' or Fralinger's — both Boardwalk founders date to the 1880s.
  • Rolling chair ride down the full length of the Boardwalk to Ventnor.

Evening

  • Sunset cocktails on the 23rd-floor SkyGarden at Ocean Casino Resort.
  • Dinner at Dock's Oyster House (est. 1897) — old-school cold-water oysters and lobster.
  • Borgata Music Box show — A-list residencies in a 2,400-seat theatre.
  • Late-night blackjack and craps on the casino floor at Borgata or Hard Rock.

Day 2 — Margate & Ventnor
